Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) had a CPAP machine when he/she moved into the facility. Former facility staff placed AV's CPAP in the closet and told AV he/she did not need it any longer. AV is having episodes of hypoxemia and still needs to use his/her CPAP. AV needed a physician order to use his/her CPAP. The facility failed to get a physician order for AV to use his/her CPAP, placing AV at risk for harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-01107 $750.00 fine assessed
