Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about July 2, 2024, at approximately 7:30 AM, staff went to AV’ room to conduct an assessment and discovered sugar ants in AV’s room/bed and on AV’s face, neck and torso. The facility was aware of the ant problem since at least June 2, 2024, and the facility was not treated for ants until July 3, 2024. The facility failed to provide timely service to AV around the ants in AV’s room, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-00344 $500.00 fine assessed
