Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to ensure a safe environment. Witness 1 (W1) has a history of sexual behaviors. W1 was care planned to not be left unattended with residents of the opposite gender. According to an investigation, on or about, July 14, 2024, W1 was seated next to the AV. W1 took the AV’s hand and began kissing it, not letting go despite the AV requesting W1 stop. Facility staff intervened and removed W1. The facility failed to follow W1's care plan to ensure a safe environment for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-00594 $375.00 fine assessed
