Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) takes medication to control his/her diabetes. On or about July 28, 2024, the facility ran out of AV's medication. On or about July 30, 2024, AV was sent to the emergency department due to his/her blood sugar being at 400. AV was given medication to control his/her blood sugar at the hospital. The facility failed to re-order AV's medications timely, placing AV at risk for serious harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-01109 $450.00 fine assessed
