Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) requires assistance with eating. On or about August 18, 2024, AV was provided a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. AV has high care needs and is to be assisted with eating. Staff delivered AV's lunch, however, no one stayed with AV to assist him/her with eating. Staff assigned to AV were not familiar with AV's care needs and did not assist AV with his/her meal. AV was uncomfortable and didn't want to call staff for assistance as he/she though they were too busy. The facility's failure to provide eating assistance for AV is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP25-00040 $750.00 fine assessed
