Findings: According to the documentation, the facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system by not in-putting the Alleged Victim’s (AV) blood-thinning medication correctly in the system. On or about August 15, 2024, the AV received a new order for blood-thinning medication and was input into the facilities MAR incorrectly. Due to the transcription error, the AV missed doses of their blood thinning medication on August 17, 2024 ,and August 18, 2024, putting the AV at risk for harm, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP25-00318 $188.00 fine assessed
