Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) has a complex diabetic medication regimen and relies on the facility to manage their medications. According to an investigation, on or around September 20, 2024, the AV was admitted to the facility without medications. The AV was not provided their prescribed medications for approximately three days, creating a risk of serious harm. The AV experienced a fall on or about September 23, 2024, resulting in pain. The AV was not provided medication to relieve their pain. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV’s medication was available to be administered as ordered, which is a violation of resident’s rights, is neglect of care, and constitutes abuse.
