Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to be assisted with dressing. on or about September 23, 2024, AV dressed him/herself and was walking and turned around and lost his/her footing and fell. AV was wearing mismatched shoes, causing him/her to fall. The next day, AV's wrist was swollen and was taken to the hospital and it was determined AV suffered a fractured wrist. Facility staff failed to follow AV's care plan by not assisting AV with getting dressed. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-00489 $500.00 fine assessed
