Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on facility staff to administer AV’s medications as prescribed by AV’s provider(s). AV is prescribed an anticonvulsant twice daily. AV missed the evening doses of h/h anticonvulsant From October 12, 2024, to October 15, 2024. AV also missed the morning dose of h/h anticonvulsant on October 15, 2024. October 15, 2024, AV experienced a seizure and went to the hospital for evaluation. As a result of the seizure, AV experienced increased pain, soreness, and tiredness. The facility failed to administer medication as ordered, take appropriate steps in refilling AV’s anticonvulsant medication, which is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
