Findings: Witness #1 (W1) has a history of aggressive behaviors towards staff and residents. On or about December 16, 2024, W1 approached the Alleged Victim (AV) and tried to take his/her coffee. AV told W1 to go away and W1 became aggressive, hitting AV in the elbow with his/her cane. AV was uninjured during the altercation, however, the facility's failure to follow the interventions in place for W1 and to supervise W1, placed AV at risk for harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-00573 $500.00 fine assessed
