Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is a resident of residential care facility. AV is bed bound and requires assistance with transferring and turning. AV has history of having pressure ulcer, and has wound care treatment in place. AV is on a repositioning and turning schedule every 2 hours. During investigation it was discovered facility staff missed reposition AV 2-3 times each day. The facility staff failed to follow the care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-01346 $750.00 fine assessed
