Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care needs. AV is prescribed a (narcotic pain reliever) that is scheduled to be administered twice daily. The facility ran out of AV’s (narcotic pain reliever) after administering the AM dose on May 4, 2025. The facility did not receive refills from the pharmacy until the afternoon of May 6, 2025. After missing doses in the evening of May 4, 2025, and the morning of May 5, 2025, AV called 911 and was brought to the hospital due to increase in pain in areas where AV generally experiences pain as well as due to additional pain which AV attributed to withdrawal from the narcotic medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
