Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) was prescribed antibiotics and three (3) other prescriptions after being discharged from the hospital on or about June 20, 2024. While three (3) of the four (4) medications prescribed by the hospital were provided by the hospital, the antibiotic was sent to the facility to be filled. There was difficulty procuring the medication through AV's insurance after AV arrived back from the hospital. There was a cost associated with filling the prescription that Witness 1 (W1) was unwilling to pay. Reports are conflicting on whether AV was given this antibiotic or not; however, AV's MAR records show that AV was never given this antibiotic nor any approved substitution for this antibiotic. There are no records in any other place or system that AV was given this antibiotic or a substitution. The facility failed administer ordered medication, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
