Findings: On or about September 2019, the facility removed the Alleged Victim's (AV) ability to use his/her power chair inside the facility. On or about December 2019, AV received a new power chair that allowed AV the ability to recline and sit better in his/her chair to avoid falling from the chair while he/she was in it. In December 2019, the facility still failed to allow AV to use his/her chair inside the facility, leading to many falls from his/her manual wheelchair. The facility failed to provide a safe environment and failed to treat AV with dignity and respect, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-01303 $500.00 fine assessed
