Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to order, store and administer his/her medications. On or about December 7, 2020 through December 9, 2020, AV's scheduled inhaler was not administered putting AV at risk for experiencing increased symptoms of COPD. AV takes medication four (4) times daily for his/her liver disease and to control the high ammonia levels in his/her brain. On or about December 2, 2020 and December 3, 2020, AV was not administered his/her medication due to the facility not ordering the medication timely. AV experienced symptoms due to the missed medication and was put at risk for serious harm. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
