Findings: On or about January 20, 2021, staff noticed that the Alleged Victim (AV) had an active case of head lice. Staff faxed the Primary Care Physician (PCP) on January 20, 2021, however, did not receive treatment for AV until January 27, 2021. There is no documentation that the facility followed up with AV's PCP to try to get the treatment earlier. AV went one week without treatment of head lice, placing AV in unreasonable discomfort. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02525 $250.00 fine assessed
