Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for care. On or about April 13, 2021, AV was diagnosed with inadequate oral intake and unintended weight loss. AV had orders to have brief changes and repositioning every four hours. Brief changes occurred on average every 8.7 hours which caused AV to develop pressure sores on AV’s buttocks. The pressure sore was a result of AV not being rotated enough. The facility failed to provide service to AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02969 $250.00 fine assessed
