Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) has chronic wounds on his/her legs and feet. AV was care planned to have compression socks placed each day prior to getting up in order to assist with edema in his/her legs and also to have his/her wounds cleaned and bandaged. On multiple occasions, AV was found without compression socks on or even socks to protect his/her feet and without bandages being changed, allowing AV to develop maggots in his/her wounds. The facility failed to follow the care plan and provide appropriate skin care to AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
