Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. On or about June 4, 2021, AV’s Personal Care Physician (PCP) wrote an order for the facility to notify the PCP and AV’s POA every time AV refused his/her anti-seizure medication. The facility's Medication Administration Record (MAR) shows AV refused one or more of his/her three anti-seizure medications on or about July 7th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 20th and 21st, 2021. The facility was unable to provide copies of the fax, written documentation, or written notes that any communication with AV’s PCP or POA occurred for the missed medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
