Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medication. AV was prescribed quetiapine, and the medication was wrongfully discontinued on two (2) occasions, from October 26th through November 2, 2021, and again on November 24th through December 5th, 2021. AV’s magnesium oxide and bowel medications were also wrongfully discontinued by the facility in October. As a result of wrongfully discontinuing AV's medications, AV had negative effects including being shaky and disagreeable. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
