Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about May 25, 2022, Witness 1 (W1) was sitting on a bench that is between AV and W1’s rooms. AV walked out of his/her room, picked up his/her walker and went straight to W1 and got into a resident-to-resident altercation causing AV to fall and sustained a goose egg bump on the back of their head and W1 had a scratch on his/her right hand and under his/her eye. The facility failed to provide a safe environment, which is a violation of resident right is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01331 $375.00 fine assessed
