Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) had a large scabby wound covering a quarter of his/her scalp. AV had not received any type of medical attention for this condition since he/she moved into the facility on August 21. 2021. On September 2, 2022, AV saw his/her physician and was referred to a dermatologist on September 26, 2022, where he/she was prescribed a steroid medication to assist with the scalp issues. Within 45 days, AV's scalp had marked improvement. The facility's failure to ensure physician services is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-00175 $250.00 fine assessed
