Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) is prescribed as need pain medication and as needed behavioral medication. On or about June 18, 2022, a temporary service plan was put into place by the facility Nurse, instructing staff to co-administer as needed behavioral medication and as needed pain medication. There was not a Physician order nor an order from Hospice in place to co-administer these medications. The effect on AV was that he/she became sedated and fell asleep. The facility failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-01859 $250.00 fine assessed
