Findings: The facility failed to obtain timely medical treatment and follow up to address Alleged Victim’s (AV) known recurrent medical issue. On or about December 19, 2022, the Alleged Perpetrator #2 (AP2) was told that AV was experiencing pain and symptoms of their known recurrent medical issue. On or about December 24, 2022, at the insistence of AV’s family, AV was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI) and given antibiotics. The facility and AP2 failed to obtain timely treatment for AV’s change of condition, which caused AV unnecessary discomfort, is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP23-01198 $1500.00 fine assessed
