Findings: On or about April 8, 2023, the Alleged Victim (AV) was left in his/her wheelchair without access to his/her call button. AV had a bowel movement in his/her depends and could not call for assistance. AV is unable to self transfer or ambulate independently and was not care planned for regular checks, therefore, AV sat in his/her soiled depends for approximately 2-3 hours, causing unreasonable discomfort. The facility's failure to properly care plan and ensure that AV had access to his/her call button is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00484 $250.00 fine assessed
