Findings: According to an investigation, on or about June 14, 2023, the Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) arranged for the Alleged Victim (AV) to be moved into memory care, despite AV not meeting criteria. While in memory care, AV experienced repeated unreasonable emotional discomfort, stopped participating in activities, stayed in his/her room, and skipped meals. It took approximately two weeks for AV to return to their prior living situation. AP2's actions are considered neglect of care and constitutes emotional abuse. The facility failed to protect the Alleged Victim (AV) from emotional abuse, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
