Findings: The facility failed to provide appropriate services according to the Alleged Victim’s (AV) toileting and wound care needs. Based on facility documentation and interviews, AV has pressure sores on his/her buttocks. AV was observed being left in wet and/or soiled briefs for extended periods of time and has been observed as completely soaked or soiled after night shift. The failure resulted in AV experiencing unreasonable discomfort, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-00111 $1500.00 fine assessed
