Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to be redirected if he/she is seen in someone else’s room and staff will need to make sure AV stays engaged in the activity program to reduce wandering. On or about February 10, 2024, AV entered Witness 1’s (W1’s) room and shortly after AV was seen hitting the floor. W1 then begun to hit AV 2-3 times with his/her purse. The facility failed to follow the care plan, which put AV in risk of harm, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP24-00771 $500.00 fine assessed
