Findings: The facility failed to provide appropriate health assessment, oversight and monitoring when the Alleged Victim's (AV) insulin level changed. Based on facility documentation and interviews, between March 1, 2024, to March 12, 2024, AV had blood sugar readings of 600 or greater multiple times and AV was not sent to the hospital for further evaluation. The failure resulted in AV’s experiencing repeated unreasonable discomfort due to facility's failure to properly managing his/her insulin levels which also placed AV at risk of harm. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP24-01003 $500.00 fine assessed
