Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) is known to seek heat and go outside when the weather is nice. On or about July 7, 2024, AV had been outside in the courtyard a couple different times throughout the day with staff. Later that day, approximately 3:00 pm, AV was found outside in the courtyard, face down. Staff brought AV back inside and sent AV out to the hospital to be checked for heat stroke. AV returned the next day with antibiotics for a urinary tract infection. AV suffered a bruise to his/her wrist from the fall. The facility's failure to provide a safe environment is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP25-00476 $500.00 fine assessed
